Energy shares are higher in late trading while while crude oil futures traded down below $94 a barrel.

Light, sweet crude for January delivery was down $0.22 to $93.58 a barrel.

Meanwhile, Kosmos Energy ( KOS ) is upgraded to overweight from equalweight at Barclays Capital Plc, Bloomberg reports. The target price is $17 per share, it said.

KOS is up 6.0%.

Delta Petroleum ( DPTR ) is down 35% after the company and certain of its subsidiaries filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
