Sector Update: Energy Shares Flat Pre-Market; Crude Futures Prices Ease Toward $109 Per Barrel

Energy shares are flat in pre-market, while crude oil futures are down toward $109 per barrel.

Light, sweet crude oil for October delivery is down $0.79 per share at $109.31 per barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil is down $0.01 at $3.20 a gallon while natural gas is up $0.03 at $3.61 per million British thermal units.

In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund ( USO ) is down 0.08% at $39.05. The United States Natural Gas ETF ( UNG ) is up 0.91% at $18.95.

In other energy news, JA Solar ( JASO ) says Q2 sales were RMB 1.6 billion ($258.1 million), above estimates for $250.42 million. JASO is down 2.6% at $7.75.

Net loss per diluted ADS was RMB 3.58 ($0.58), wider than expectations for a loss of $0.54, according to Motley Fool. For Q3, it expects total cell and module shipments to be between 450 MW and 470 MW. Its full year guidance of 1.7 GW to 1.9 GW remains unchanged.
