Sandvine Up Almost 8%, Nearing Yr High

Sandvine Corporation (SVC.TO) is up 7.65% to $1.83, nearing a yr high $1.88 near midday.

The company this week reported US$27.5 million in revenue for its fourth quarter of 2012 versus $20.9 million a year earlier; non-IFRS income of $6.9 million compared to a loss of $1.4 million; and net income of $6.5 million or 0.046 per share versus a net loss of $2.1 million or loss of 0.015 per share.

Sandvine also announced that Dermot O'Carroll has joined its Board of Directors. O'Carroll has spent almost 40 years in the telecommunications industry, the last twenty of which as a senior executive in various roles, including with Rogers Communications.
