Roche Mulls Life Technologies Bid; KKR, Hellman & Friedman Consider Joint Bid -Reuters

Suitors including Roche Holding AG (RHHBY) and KKR & Co. ( KKR ) are considering bidding for Life Technologies Corp. ( LIFE ), Reuters reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Roche has hired unspecified bankers to advise it on a potential bid, while KKR is exploring a joint bid with Hellman & Friedman LLC, Reuters reported. Bids are due in early April.

Roche told Reuters that it doesn't comment on market speculation. Representatives for KKR, Hellman & Friedman and Life Technologies declined comment, the report said.
