Renewable Energy Springs to Fresh 52-Week Highs; Q1 EPS, Sales Improve Vs. Year Ago Levels

Renewable Energy Group, Inc. ( REGI ) shares have sprung to new 52-week highs. REGI late yesterday reported Q1 earnings of (GAAP) $1.25 compared to 2012 Q1 earnings of $0.06 per share. Analysts were expecting earnings of $0.44 per share - it is unclear if actual results are comparable to estimates.

Revenues of $339.2 million were better than analyst estimates of $220.2 million, and higher than revenues of $188.1 million for the prior year period.

REGI trades in a fresh 52-week range of $4.28 - $11.50.
