Quaterra Resources Jumps 5% on Potential of Nieves Silver Property

Quaterra Resources Inc. ( QMM ) is up 5.4% at $0.35, but still trading near the low end of the 52-week range, after it today co-announced with its 50% joint-venture partner Blackberry Ventures I, LLC, that an independent preliminary economic assessment has concluded that their Nieves silver property in Zacatecas State, Mexico, has the potential to be developed as an open pit mine that would average more than 5 million ounces of silver production per year over a projected 10-year mine life.

QMM trades in a 52-week range of $0.32 - $1.17. Shares have fallen 70% in the last 12 months.
