Putin on Snowden: We are not grilling him

While Snowden is loading up on perogis and vodka in Russia ( RSX , quote ), President Putin is actually trying to distance himself from the situation.

Wonder how much of this is related to Russia's isolated Syria stance and a need to play ball on battles that really don't matter to them.

While Russia loves to zing the U.S. whenever they can, this is not "Cold War" stuff.  Russia claims they are not pushing their secret service into this situation and Putin says Snowden needs to ship out soon.

It's clear the U.S.  is making this a big deal and it's a little silly that this situation is the place that Obama takes one if his most aggressive diplomatic stances with some of the thornier U.S. relationships.

Snowden is a big deal but really only to this administration.  This is not a vital issue for U.S. global posturing and presence in volatile regions and policy.
