Procter & Gamble Started as a “Buy” at Stifel Nicolaus (PG)

Consumer products maker The Procter & Gamble Company ( PG ) saw its coverage initiated on Thursday with a "Buy" rating by analysts at Stifel Nicolaus.

The firm also set a $72 price target on PG shares, which had closed at $61.74 on Wednesday. Stifel noted that the company should continue to see accelerating sales growth in its product lines.

Procter & Gamble shares rose 21 cents, or +0.3%, in premarket trading Thursday.
