William Loomis, a director at Phillips 66 ( PSX ) , bought 7,760 shares of the company's common stock on Nov. 5. At $64.42 per share, Loomis paid a total of $499,905 to establish a new directly held position in the stock.

IK-> The technicals for PSX ($64.41 up $0.05) are bullish with a neutral trend. Recent support has been around $63.34 and recent resistance has been around $65.52. Standard & Poor's has a four STARs (out of five) rating on the stock. Look at the Jan. 50/55 bull-put spread for a 20-cent credit. That's a 4.17% return and the stock has to fall 14.6% to cause a problem.  [InvestorsKeyhole, Various news and data services]
