CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Last night, Procter & Gamble (P&G) and its Orgullosa program — an
initiative created to celebrate, empower, and fuel Latinas'
accomplishments and dreams— hosted an exclusive "skirts only" fashion
show in NYC to showcase and celebrate how the Latina community is made
of mujeres con la falda bien puesta™. The Orgullosa fashion show, which
was also streamed live on Orgullosa's Facebook
page, featured exclusive designs by CENIA®, and served as a
stage for more than 100 Latinas in attendance to celebrate their
cultural duality, while empowering them to reach for their personal
goals.

The fashion show, held at 404 NYC, had Latina celebrity VIP guests in
attendance, including Christina Milian and Adrienne Bailon,
who served as emcee. Both exemplify true Orgullosa women - proud of her
heritage and living the American dream. Among the runway models were
Orgullosa's first-ever Board of Faldas (Board of Skirts)
ambassadors, Evette Rios, lifestyle guru and co-host of ABC's The
Chew; Maria Marin, international motivational speaker; and Maribel
Lieberman, entrepreneur and chocolatier, who are providing real-life
testimonials and exclusive content on Orgullosa's online communities.
Orgullosa's long-standing partner, the League of United Latin American
Citizens (LULAC), also participated by identifying ten bicultural
Latinas to walk the runway and represent the "everyday woman" on the
path to success.
"This fashion show was absolutely amazing and fun! All of the beautiful
women who walked the runway represent independent, strong and proud
Latinas," said Christina Milian. "As someone who is proud of her Cuban
heritage, I'm glad that there is a place where we can not only get
relevant information made for us, but share our personal stories, dreams
and aspirations."
Orgullosa partnered with Latina fashion designer, Cenia Paredes®,
a native of the Dominican Republic and founder of CENIA dresses, to
create exclusive skirts for this unique event. The line featured bold
silhouettes, bright colors, and materials and designs that blend the
roots of Hispanic culture with the modern bicultural Latina of today.
Paredes was chosen for her one-of-a-kind designs and her empowering
story of reaching her childhood dream. In addition to the live-stream
fashion show on the Orgullosa Facebook community, one lucky viewer won a
custom-made skirt designed by Cenia.
Mujeres con la falda bien puesta™ which translates to "women who have
their skirts well placed" represents the spirit of Latinas creating new
paths for themselves. Each of the women that walked in the fashion show
had a unique perspective about being a Latina in the U.S. and represents
the cultural transformation that Orgullosa aims to support and empower.
"Whether it's inspiring women to go back to school, give back to their
community, start their own business, or follow their desires, the
Orgullosa community is a digital platform where Latinas can connect,
share, inform and inspire each other through the transformative power of
community," said John Sandoval, Senior Multicultural Marketing Manager.
"The fashion show was a unique way to feature our Board of Faldas, and
set the stage for other mujeres con la falda bien puesta."
