Diversified Agency Services (DAS), a division of
Omnicom Group Inc.
(
OMC
), has recently launched a Web Documentary Series in order to Track
the Risks and Rewards of Data Migration Project. The video web
series named 'Day in the Life: Every Journey Begins with a
Connection' is first of its kind, and will record the 18-month
overhaul of its decentralized and highly strategic IT consolidation
project through the eyes of DAS CIOs and IT professionals.
The IT consolidation project, commenced in March 2012,
incorporates migration of business-critical data across 100
agencies to two world-class data centers, one in Phoenix and the
other in Atlanta. In support of such migration, DAS CIOs and IT
leaders, in association with HP and other organizations will now be
able to efficiently consolidate huge amounts of data while
centralizing network applications. These are expected to speed up
internal decision-making for day to day business.
The new documentary series will ensure in-depth view of the
state-of-the-art data consolidation and is anticipated to explore
issues such as cost reduction, increased operational efficiency and
identification of business challenges and opportunities. The video
series is expected to appeal to the curiosity of CIOs and IT
executives and satisfy their analytical queries as well. It will
also offer accurate access to the inner workings of a
state-of-the-art IT implementation.
