Oil Fluctuates on European Crisis, Norway's Strike Threat - report

Oil fluctuated after an advance in Spanish yields intensified concern about Europe's debt crisis and a labor strike threatened to halt production in Norway, Western Europe's biggest exporter, Bloomberg reported.

Crude for August delivery slipped 4 cents to US$84.41 a barrel at 9.19 a.m. on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Prices traded between US$84 and US$85.21 a barrel. Futures are down 15% this year.

Brent crude for August settlement gained 2 cents to US$98.21 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange.
