New Stock Coverage: 'Maxx' Out Your Profits With TJX Companies

April showers sent the Dow (^DJI) back in bloom, with equities rebounding from their worst week of the year as pride of Peoria Caterpillar ( CAT ) jumped 2.83% after announcing earnings. (Although truth be told, its hometown has now had quite enough rain .)

From CAT to fat cats, the corpulent feline who ate at fellow blue chip McDonald's ( MCD ) for an entire year may want to reconsider. The stock, which slumped 3.54% last week, slimmed down further following a ratings reduction .

With The Great Gatsby all the rage again , Italy picked as its president 87-year-old Giorgio Napolitano, who entered the world along with F. Scott Fitzgerald's seminal work in the same spring of 1925. One fears that this Roman holiday from history is also destined to end in tears, but boy, while the twenties roared, what a swell party it was.

Tyco International ( TYC ), whose jailed CEO was especially fond of partying in Italian apparel , imploded 1.69% and Intuitive Surgical (ISRG), whose da Vinci robots honor one of Italy's greatest sons, tumbled 2.04%.

Today in economics, March new home sales are reported at 10:00 a.m. Eastern. On the corporate front it's another frenetic session for earnings announcements with Apple Inc. (AAPL), AT&T (T), Broadcom (BRCM), Cree Inc. (CREE), DuPont (DD), Lockheed Martin (LMT), Panera Bread (PNRA), Travelers (TRV), United Technologies (UTX), and Yum Brands (YUM) all due to release results.

Aruba Networks (ARUN): Shares are launched with a Neutral at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch.

HCC Insurance (HCC): Compass Point has a new Neutral, and $43 price objective, on a company it notes has tended over time to outperform competitors on a Return On Adjusted Equity metric.

Real Estate Investment Trusts : Saying that Industrial REITs stand to benefit from an improving macroeconomic environment, MLV & Co begins Buys on CapLease (LSE) ($8 price objective), First Industrial (FR) ($20), and Terreno (TRNO) ($21.) It has less bullish Holds on Monmouth REIT (MNR) ($11 target price), Prologis (PLD) ($39), and Select Income (SIR) ($28.)

Retail Stocks : Coven resumes Outperform rated research on both Ross Stores ( ROST ) and T.J. Maxx and Marshalls owner TJX Companies ( TJX ).

W.R. Berkley (WRB): The property and casualty insurance name is a new Neutral at Compass Point, whose price objective is $43.
