Movie theater company AMC Entertainment files for a $400 million IPO

AMC Entertainment, which owns or operates 343 movie theaters in the US, filed on Friday with the SEC to raise up to $400 million in an initial public offering. The Leawood, KS-based company, which was founded in 1920, plans to list on the NYSE under the symbol AMC. The company has yet to announce the bookrunners on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
