Morning Hog Market Report 01/10

With a high open interest and plenty of bearish technical signals, the market looks vulnerable to more long liquidation selling from speculators over the near-term. Warm Midwest weather, weak packer margins and a lack of tightness for the pork product market has helped to pressure. February hogs closed sharply lower on the session yesterday and pushed to the lowest level since December 12th. April also closed sharply lower with the lowest close since October 8th.
