has partnered with the Nigerian State and
The Coca-Cola Company
) to advance the United Nations' (UN) global health targets. The
tie-up was declared at the Clinton Global Initiative as well as
during the noteworthy meetings at the United Nations General
Assembly sessions in New York City.
The second alliance formed by McCann Health is a clean-water
multinational partnership with Coca-Cola. As per the agreement,
McCann Health will increase awareness of health-related issues
that will consequently lead to greater demand for public health
products and services.
Moreover, through the tie-up, McCann Health will bolster the
UN's Millennium Development Goals (MDG). It will aid the
international organization's health initiative programs such as
reducing maternal and child deaths around the world by leveraging
its resources and expertise. In addition to instilling education
and awareness, McCann Health will aim to overcome the personal,
cultural and societal barriers for creating complete trust in
these healthcare products and services.
Last week, McCann Health joined as the Communications partner
in Coca-Cola's launch of its EKOCENTER, which is a clean-water
initiative formed by seven corporate companies including
International Business Machines Corporation (IBM),
United Parcel Service, Inc.
Additionally, McCann Health has formed a public-private
partnership with Kwara State Government in Nigeria and The
Wellbeing Foundation Africa to support the UN's Every Woman,
Every Child program.
The various alliances by McCann Health highlight the fact that
marketing communications is playing an increasingly important
role in the publicity of a product or service and boosting its
demand in the market.
