By Dow Jones Business News,  March 21, 2013, 10:23:00 PM EDT

0208 GMT [Dow Jones] China shares are trading slightly lower after a flat open as the market takes a breather from three straight days of gains. Then Shanghai Composite is down 0.2% at 2318.41, with traders saying that the index will consolidate between 2300 and 2340 for most of the session. "Investors are still watching economic data as well as the property sector carefully because they are worried about government tightening," says Zhang Yanbin, analyst with Zheshang Securities. Investors are expecting China's official March economic data to be released early next month. The Shenzhen Index is roughly flat at 956.52. (chao.deng@dowjones.com)
