Market Close Report: NASDAQ Composite index closes at 3,192.03 down -6.63 points

Friday's session closes with the NASDAQ Composite Index at 3,192.03. The total shares traded for the NASDAQ was over 1.83 billion. Declining stocks led advancers by 1.1 to 1 ratio. There were 1162 advancers and 1275 decliners for the day. On the NASDAQ Stock Exchange 90 stocks reached a 52 week high and 8 those reaching lows totaled. The NASDAQ 100 index closed down -.24% for the day; a total of -6.76 points. The current value is 2,764.67. Randgold Resources Limited ( GOLD ) had the largest percent change down (-4%) while Monster Beverage Corporation ( MNST ) had the largest percent change gain rising 7.11%.

The Dow Jones index closed up .06% for the day; a total of 8.37 points. The current value is 13,981.76. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. ( WMT ) had the largest percent change down (-2.15%) while Coca-Cola Company (The) ( KO ) had the largest percent change gain rising 1.57%.
