Market Close Report: NASDAQ Composite index closes at 2,976.78 up 9.93 points

Monday's session closes with the NASDAQ Composite Index at 2,976.78. The total shares traded for the NASDAQ was over 1.6 billion.

Advancers stocks led declining by 1.14 to 1 ratio. There were 1312 advancers and 1149 decliners for the day. On the NASDAQ Stock Exchange 36 stocks reached a 52 week high and 15 those reaching lows totaled. The NASDAQ 100 index closed up .46% for the day; a total of 12.08 points. The current value is 2,651.67. Whole Foods Market, Inc. ( WFM ) had the largest percent change down (-3.06%) while eBay Inc. ( EBAY ) had the largest percent change gain rising 4.88%.

The Dow Jones index closed down -.33% for the day; a total of -42.31 points. The current value is 12,967.37. Coca-Cola Company (The) ( KO ) had the largest percent change down (-1.5%) while Hewlett-Packard Company ( HPQ ) had the largest percent change gain rising 2.41%.
