Macquarie-backed blank check company Terrapin 3 Acquisition files for a $185 million IPO

Terrapin 3 Acquisition, a Macquarie Capital-backed blank check company led by Nathan Leight, filed on Monday with the SEC to raise up to $185 million in an initial public offering. The recently formed New York, NY-based company plans to list its units on the NASDAQ under the symbol TRTLU. Terrapin 3 Acquisition initially filed confidentially on May 21, 2014. Deutsche Bank is the sole bookrunner on the deal. No pricing terms were disclosed.
