Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the
individual equity names with the most call and put buying on
optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Bank of America (BAC): More than 17,000 weekly 40.50 calls were
bought, mostly for $0.06 to $0.09, as investors look for upside in
the financial giant. BAC fell 1.10 percent to $14.33.
Xoma (XOMA): Some 6,0000 December 5 calls calls were purchased for
$0.85. A large block of shares was sold minutes later, indicating
the use of a delta-neutral strategy that will profit from increased
volatility rather than a directional move in the share price. XOMA
fell 2.56 percent to $4.57.
Facebook (FB): More than 26,000 October 45 calls were purchased,
mostly for $0.91 to $1.14 as investors look for upside in the
social-media company. FB declined 1.69 percent to $40.64.
