Largest option trades in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Bank of America (BAC): More than 17,000 weekly 40.50 calls were bought, mostly for $0.06 to $0.09, as investors look for upside in the financial giant. BAC fell 1.10 percent to $14.33.

Xoma (XOMA): Some 6,0000 December 5 calls calls were purchased for $0.85. A large block of shares was sold minutes later, indicating the use of a delta-neutral strategy that will profit from increased volatility rather than a directional move in the share price. XOMA fell 2.56 percent to $4.57.

Facebook (FB): More than 26,000 October 45 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.91 to $1.14 as investors look for upside in the social-media company. FB declined 1.69 percent to $40.64.
