Largest option trades in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Facebook (FB): Some 36,000 September 46 calls were bought, mostly for $0.34to $0.49. The contracts expire this Friday, so they're looking for a move in the short term. FB fell 0.27 percent to $44.95.

Safeway (SWY): Some 10,000 January 32 calls were bought for $1.75. The investor also sold equal-sized blocks in the January 27 puts for $0.65 and the January 37 calls for $0.40. The bullish three-way trade cost $0.70 and will earn a maximum profit of 614 percent on a move to $37 by expiration. SWY rose 0.39 percent to $31.11.

U.S. Steel (X): Almost 15,000 November 25 calls were bought, mostly for $0.26, as investors look for the steelmaker to rally. X fell 0.05 percent to $20.50.
