Largest option trades in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Chico's FAS (CHS): More than 1,600 January 19 calls were purchased for $0.50 and $0.55 as investors position for upside in the retailer. CHS rose 0.81 percent to $18.73.

Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB): A block of 15,000 January 20 puts was sold for $0.42 as investors look for the stock to hold its ground through early next year. FITB fell 0.30 percent to $20.14. (See related story )

Gold Fields (GFI): Some 8,751 April 4 calls were bought for $0.34 and an equal number of April 3 calls were sold for $0.90 as an investor rolled a short position to the lower strike. He or she collected $0.56 but now has greater upside risk. GFI fell 2.58 percent to $3.77.
