Largest option trades in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.


Fluor (FLR):  An investor sold 2,000 January 72.50 puts for $0.70, looking for the construction company to hold its ground or climb through early next year. FLR rose 0.67 percent to $78.33. (See related story )

Hovnanian Enterprises (HOV): An investor sold 5,000 January 2015 5 calls and bought 300,000 shares in a delta-neutral strategy that will benefit from lower volatility in the homebuilder over time. HOV fell 1.17 percent to $5.07.

XL Capital (XL): Some 5,200 January 32 calls were sold, mostly for $0.32, as investors anticipate limited upside in the financial stock. XL declined 1.92 percent to $31.38.
