Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Citigroup (C): More than 13,000 January 30 calls were purchased for $0.03 to $0.07 as investors look for upside in the shares. C rose 1.90 percent to $28.75.

EMC (EMC): An investor bought 20,000 January 22.50 puts for $0.27 and sold an equal number of February 21 puts for $0.23, looking for the stock to hold its ground over the next month. EMC rose 1.33 percent to $22.51.

Bank of America (BAC): More than 10,000 May 12 calls traded for $0.10 as investors look for upside in the shares. BAC rose 3.32 percent to $6.70.

Williams (WMB): An investor sold 18,647 May 26 calls for $3.30 and bought an equal number of May 20 puts for $0.185, looking to hedge against a pullback in the name. WMB rose 1.34 percent to $28.81.

Cisco Systems (CSCO): About 10,000 February 19 calls were bought for $1.02 and $1.03 as investors look for upside in the shares. CSCO rose 1.22 percent to $19.55.
