Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Bank of America (BAC): Investors bought and sold the December 5 weekly calls, positioning in the name before expiration on Friday. BAC rose 3.11 percent to $5.14.

UBS (UBS): Investors bought more than 8,000 February 12 calls for $0.80 and $0.85 against open interest of just 10 contracts, looking for upside. UBS rose 3.16 percent to $11.74.

Barnes & Noble (BKS): Investors bought the January 14 calls and the January 17.50 calls, looking for upside over the next five weeks. BKS fell 0.66 percent to $15.13.

Intel (INTC): More than 14,000 July 23 puts were bought for $1.86 to $1.90, but volume was below open interest. INTC rose 3.31 percent to $23.86.

Research In Motion (RIMM): More than 15,000 February 12 puts were bought for $1.06 to $0.96 as investors looked for shares to continue lower. RIMM fell 1.94 percent to $12.64.
