Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Wal-Mart Stores (WMT): More than 38,000 January 75 calls were purchased for $0.08 and $0.09 as investors position for upside in the share price. WMT fell 2.33 percent to $69.24.

Bank of America (BAC): Some 5,000 May 11 calls and May 11 puts were bought. Known as a long straddle, the trade reflects a belief that volatility will increase in the stock. BAC rose 0.29 to $10.54.

Cheniere Energy (LNG): Some 8,800 December 19 calls were bought for $0.10, but volume was below open interest at the strike. LNG fell 1.41 percent to $17.47.

Williams (WMB): Some 27,000 December 30 puts were purchased against open interest of 27,599 contracts, with the largest block pricing for $0.29. WMB fell 1.24 percent to $30.99.
