Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Melco Crown (MPEL): An investor sold about 7,600 January 14 calls and bought 12,700 January 17 calls. Volume was below open interest at the 14s, indicating that an existing position was rolled to the higher strike and increased in size. MPEL rose 1.58 percent to $15.52.

Genworth Financial (GNW): A block of 10,000 January 5 puts was bought for $1.12. A large number of shares were bought at the same time, suggesting that use of a directionless delta-neutral strategy. GNW rose 3.27 percent to $6.94.

NetApp (NTAP): Some 5,500 January 32 puts were bought for $0.71 to $0.73 as investors position for downside in the cloud-computing stock. NTAP rose 1.37 percent to $

Huntsman (HUN): More than 16,000 contracts traded in the January 12.50 calls as investors looked to capture the chemical stock's quarterly dividend. HUN rose 0.30 percent to $16.56.
