Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Manitowoc (MTW): An even 8,000 January 22 calls were purchased for $1.75 as an investor rolled a long position from the September 22 calls. He or she increased the size and extended the duration, looking for continued upside in the share price. MTW fell 1.07 percent to $20.39.

Facebook (FB): Some 29,000 August 30 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.22, as investors look for upside in the social-media stock. FB rose 0.21 percent to $26.10.

Liberty Global (LBTYA): A block of 10,000 October 85 calls was purchased for $2.40 but volume was below open interest at the strike. LBTYA fell 1.38 percent to $80.24.
