Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

American International Group (AIG): Investors purchased more than 20,000 September 32.50 weekly calls expiring this Friday, mostly for $0.65 to $0.69, looking for upside in the share price. AIG is down 0.60 percent to $33.10. (See related story )

Cheniere Energy (LNG): More than 21,000 December 20 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.35 to $0.40, as investors look for the stock to rally in coming months. LNG rose 1.75 percent to $16. (See related story )

Coca-Cola (KO): More than 21,000 January 33.75 puts were bought for $0.40, but volume was below open interest at the strike. KO rose 0.08 percent to $37.69.

Citigroup (C):Traders bought some 9,600 December 31 puts for $1.77, seeking protection as financials push higher. C rose 2.70 percent to $32.69.
