Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Sirius XM Radio (SIRI): A block of 35,000 January 2014 calls was bought for $0.24 as an investor positioned for the stock to push higher. SIRI fell 1.82 percent to $2.43.

Elan (ELN): Volume surged in the October 13 puts and the October 16 calls. Volume was well below open interest in both strikes, suggesting that an existing bearish strategy was closed at a profit following the stock's recent selloff. ELN is unchanged at $11.17.

Intel (INTC): More than 12,000 September 27 puts were bought for $0.73 to $0.76 as investors position for the semiconductor giant to decline. INTC rose 0.41 percent to $26.71.
