Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

JP Morgan (JPM): Investors bought more than 8,000 February 35 calls for $1.50 to $1.57, looking for upside. JPM rose 2.39 percent to $32.99.

Ford Motor (F): Investors bought more than 8,000 December 11 calls for $0.24 to $0.27, looking for upside. F rose 2.60 percent to $11.03.

Sprint Nextel (S): More than 30,000 December 2.50 puts were purchased, but volume was below open interest. S fell 0.41 percent to $2.43.

Bank of America (BAC): Investors purchased more than 17,000 January 2013 4 puts, looking for long-term protection. BAC rose 3.76 percent to $5.80.
