Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the
individual equity names with the most call and put buying on
optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Sprint Nextel (S): Investors sold 20,000 each in the December 2.50
puts and the December 3.50 calls, looking for the stock to move
sideways. S declined 2.09 percent to $2.81.
PulteGroup (PHM): Investors bought 12,000 December 6 calls for
$0.35, looking for upside. PHM rose 2.55 percent to $5.62.
Ivanhoe Mines (IVN): An investor bought 3,000 March 25 calls for
$3.40 and sold an equal number of March 30 calls for $1.80, looking
for upside. IVN fell 5 percent to $21.26.
Gap (GPS): About 10,000 January 19 puts were bought for $0.99 to
$1.07 as an investor looked for volatility to increase. GPS rose
1.32 percent to $19.91.
Ariad Pharmaceuticals (ARIA): More than 15,000 January 5 puts were
bought for $0.05 to $0.15, but volume was below open interest. ARIA
fell 10 percent to $10.75.
