Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Silver Standard Resources (SSRI): Heavy buying occurred in the December 21 calls for $1.35 to $1.60 as investors positioned for a rally. SSRI rose 4.42 percent to $18.45.

Microsoft (MSFT): There was heavy buying in the November 27 calls against open interest as investors position for upside. MSFT fell 2.42 percent to $26.16.

MF Global (MF): Investors piled into the November 1 puts, looking for the stock to continue lower. MF fell 47 percent to $1.89.

eBay (EBAY):  More than 6,000 November 28 puts were bought, mostly for $0.43 to $0.45 as investors look for downside. EBAY fell 2.40 percent to $30.90.

CBRE Group (CBG): Investors bought the November 16 puts as part of a bearish three-way strategy also entailing the November 14 puts and the November 17 calls. CBG fell 0.75 percent to $15.97.
