Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

CIT Group (CIT): Some 8,000 August 48 calls were bought for $1.21 as investors look for upside in the small-business lender. CIT fell 0.17 percent to $46.91.

Research In Motion (BBRY): Some 4,400 August 9 puts were bought, mostly for $0.46, as investors brace for further downside in the share price. BBRY plunged 26 percent to $10.77.

iShares iBoxx High Yield Corporate Bond Fund (HYG): Some 3,100 July 90 puts were bought, mostly for $0.90 but volume was below open interest at the strike. HYG fell 0.46 percent to $91.08.
