Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Facebook (FB): Almost 12,000 August 18 puts expiring today were purchased for $0.05 and $0.10 as investors look the shares to keep falling into the close. FB is down 4.03 percent to $18.32.

Bank of America (BAC): More than 50,000 October 9 calls were purchased for $0.11 and $0.12 as investors position for the stock to rally into the fall. BAC rose 1.08 percent to $8.

EMC (EMC): Some 10,000 October 27 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.78 to $0.83 as investors look for upside in the share price. EMC rose 0.80 percent to $26.48.

Qualcomm (QCOM): Blocks of 7,500 contracts each traded in the October 50 puts and the October 65 calls. Volume, however, was below open interest in both. QCOM rose 0.38 percent to $61.43.
