Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Bank of America (BAC): Almost 9,000 December 11 calls were purchased for $0.08 as investors look for upside in the financial giant. BAC rose 0.96 percent to $9.45.

Facebook (FB): Investors bought purchased more than 10,000 November 30 calls for $0.10, looking for upside in the social-networking stock. FB surged 22 percent to $23.82.

Marvell Technology (MRVL): Investors bought more than 7,000 May 9 calls for $0.44 and $0.45, looking for the semiconductor giant to push higher. MRVL is down 2.36 percent to $7.44.

Time Warner Cable (TWC): An investor sold about 10,000 January 87.50 puts for $0.95, looking for the shares to hold their ground or climb into the New Year. TWC rose 0.61 percent to $98.30.

Tempur-Pedic International (TPX): Investors bought almost 7,600 December 21 puts for $0.65, looking for continued downside in the share price. TPX plunged 20 percent to $25.36.
