Largest option buying in equities so far

Yahoo (YHOO): Almost 25,000 January 19 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.72, as investors look for upside in the share price. YHOO rose 1.37 percent to $18.83.

Ford Motor (F): Some 7,500 February 10 calls were purchased, mostly for $1.32, against open interest of 5,174 contracts. F fell 0.99 percent to $10.99.

Facebook (FB): Investors bought more than 11,000 December 29 calls, mostly for $0.25 to $0.35, wagering that the social-media stock will continue to rally. FB rose 7.63 percent to $25.83.

Broadcom (BRCM): Some 2,500 December 28 puts were bought for $0.07 and $0.08 but volume was below open interest at the strike. BRCM rose 1.27 percent to $31.98.
