Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Seagate Technology (STX): About 5,000 May 29 calls were bought for $0.82 and some 10,000 May 32 calls were sold for $0.13. Known as a bullish ratio spread, the trade will leverage a move to $32. STX fell 6.88 percent to $28.95.

Chesapeake Energy (CHK): More than 6,000 January 25 puts were bought for about $8.80 against open interest. The trade appears to result from an investor closing an unsuccessful short-put trade in the stock. CHK fell 1.04 percent to $17.38.

Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (MDRX): Investors sold about 10,000 December 8 puts for $0.85 and bought an equal number of December 11 calls for $0.95. The trade cost $0.10 and will leverage a rebound in the share price. MDRX plunged 42 percent to $9.23.

Dunkin' Brands (DNKN): Some 6,500 June 30 puts were bought for $0.50 to $0.60 but volume was below open interest in the strike. DNKN rose 0.08 percent to $32.59.
