Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Thoratec (THOR): More than 5,000 April 32 calls were bought for $1.60 to $1.70 as investors positioned for upside in the stock. THOR fell 4.04 percent to $29.72.

Hess (HES): More than 4,600 January 2013 55 calls were purchased for $7.75 as investors looked for the shares to climb. HES fell 0.22 percent to $55.03.

Motorola Mobility Holdings (MMI): About 10,000 March 38 calls were bought for $1.50 to $1.55 as traders looked for the stock to grind higher. It agreed to be acquired by Google for $40 a share in August. MMI fell 0.26 percent to $38.77.
