Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Bank of America (BAC): Investors bought more than 22,000 October 9.50 calls for $0.02 to $0.04. Those contracts expire this afternoon, so they're looking for upside by the close. BAC rose 0.53 percent to $9.52.

Equal-sized blocks traded in the November 18 calls, sold for $2.45, and the November 16 puts, bought for $0.35. It appears that a bearish position expiring today was closed and rolled forward in time. NAV fell 7.62 percent to $18.98.

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD): Investors bought more than 10,000 January 2014 5 calls,
mostly for $0.19, looking for the chip maker to rebound over the long term. AMD plunged 15 percent to $2.23.

Sprint Nextel (S): More than 9,700 November 6 calls traded, mostly for $0.05 and $0.06, but volume was far below open interest at the strike. S fell 0.43 percent to $5.76.
