Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Cisco Systems (CSCO): Investors bought more than 5,000 November 17 puts, mostly for $0.37, looking for downside in the tech stock. CSCO rose 0.34 percent to $19.19.

General Electric (GE): More than 10,000 January 21 puts were bought for $1.59 to $1.60 as investors position for the shares to push lower. GE rose 0.73 percent to $20.79.

Nokia (NOK): Trading surged in the January 5 calls as buyers paid $0.19 and $0.20, but volume remains far below open interest in the strike. NOK fell 2.66 percent to $3.12.

Apple (AAPL): Volume surged in the August 655 puts expiring today as investors positioned for a short-term drop in the tech giant. AAPL rose 0.47 percent to $665.73.
