Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Bank of America (BAC): Volume surged in the June 14 calls and the September 14 calls as an investor rolled a bullish long position forward in time. He or she paid $0.43 to extend their trade by three months. BAC rose 0.82 percent to $13.46.

Smithfield Foods (SFD): More than 18,000 January 30 calls were bought for $3.70 to $3.90 as investors positioned for upside in the meat processor after it agreed to a $7.1 billion Chinese buyout. SFD rose 25 percent to $32.47.

Neptune Technologies & Bioresources (NEPT): A block of 7,000 June 2.50 calls was purchased for $0.55 but volume was below open interest at the strike. NEPT fell 0.36 percent to $2.79.
