Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Amarin (AMRN): Some 5,000 January 2015 10 calls were bought for $1.98. A large number of shares were sold at the same time, indicating that the investor is using a delta-neutral strategy to bet on higher volatility rather than a higher share price. AMRN fell 4.87 percent to $6.45.

Ford Motor (F): Almost 13,000 weekly 15.50 calls expiring this Friday were bought, mostly for $0.08 to $0.12, as investors position for a short-term rally in the automaker. F rose 3.25 percent to $15.27.

Dish Network (DISH): Some 5,000 September 37 puts were bought for $2.15 and an equal number of September 45 calls were sold for $1.20. Known as a collar, the trade cost $0.95 and will protect a long position in the media company against a push to the downside. DISH rose 0.69 percent to $39.60.
