Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Cheniere Energy (LNG): Investors purchased about 37,000 March 17 calls and sold a matching number of March 12 calls. The resulting position provides leverage to a rally, and is similar to owning shares in the natural-gas tanker company. LNG rose 0.76 percent to $14.57.

Cisco Systems (CSCO): Some 9,600 February 19 calls were purchased for $0.52 as investors look for upside in the tech giant. CSCO fell 0.23 percent to 17.90.

Bank of America (BAC): Almost 25,000 November 9 puts were bought for $0.02 to $0.05. Volume was well below open interest, so traders were probably closing short positions before expiration this afternoon. BAC fell 0.88 percent to $9.01.

Informatica (INFA): Some 11,500 December 25 puts were bought for $0.50 and $0.55 as investors position for downside in the name. INFA declined 0.11 percent to $27.02

Facebook (FB): Some 18,000 November 23 puts expiring today traded for $0.05 to $0.25 as traders position for a quick drop. FB is up 7.04 percent to $23.73.
