Largest option buying in equities so far


Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Bank of America (BAC): Investors bought more than 40,000 July 8 calls, looking for upside in the stock. BAC fell 0.89 percent to $7.83.

Facebook (FB): Some 13,000 July 30 calls were bought, mostly for $2 to $2.25, as investors look for the shares to rebound. FB rose 2.52 percent to $30.77.

Morgan Stanley (MS): Investors bought the September 14 puts for $1.50 and sold the September 17 calls for $0.47, positioning for downside in the share price. MS fell 0.98 percent to $14.16.

Cree (CREE): A block of 2,750 July 20 puts were bought for $0.33. Volume was below open interest, so the trader may have been closing a short position. CREE fell 1.05 percent to $23.65.
