Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Affymax (AFFY): Some 8,500 October 2 calls were purchased for $0.25 as investors look for the drug company to rebound. AFFY fell 18 percent to $1.70.

Bank of America (BAC): Some 12,000 January 2015 15 calls were bought for $1.45 to $1.61 as investors look for upside in the financial giant. BAC fell 3.26 percent to $13.33.

Intel (INTC): Some 25,000 July 25 puts were bought, mostly for $0.67 to $0.78, as investors seek protection against a pullback in the semiconductor giant. INTC rose 3.79 percent to $25.20.
