Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Nektar Therapeutics (NKTR): Some 10,000 December 11 calls were purchased for $0.50 but volume was below open interest at the strike. NKTR rose 0.79 percent to $8.93.

Intel (INTC): More than 26,000 January 21 calls were purchased for $0.97 to $1.02 as investors look for the chip maker to rally. INTC rose 0.72 percent to $21.06.

American International Group (AIG): Some 5,200 January 30 puts traded for $0.85 and $0.90, but volume was far below open interest at the strike. AIG fell 0.12 percent to $31.96.

Citigroup (C): Some 7,500 November 37 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.49, as investors look for upside in the financial giant. C rose 1.22 percent to $36.49.

Groupon (GRPN): More than 5,000 January 3 puts were bought for $0.30 but volume was below open interest at the strike. GRPN rose 2.66 percent to $3.86.
