Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Delphi Automotive (DLPH): Large trades occurred in the February 35 calls and the November 32.50 calls. Volume was below open interest in each, suggesting that a previous diagonal spread was closed. DLPH rose 0.38 percent to $31.66.

Amarin (AMRN): Volume surged in the March 8 puts, the March 16 calls and the March 20 calls as an investor implemented a complex bullish strategy on the Irish drug company. AMRN drops 4.70 percent to $11.77.

HCA (HCA): A block of 10,000 October 31 puts was sold for $0.25 but volume was below open interest at the strike. HCA falls 0.66 percent to $33.04.

General Electric (GE): Investors purchased more than 11,000 October 22 puts for $0.14 and $0.15, positioning for downside in coming weeks. GE climbs 0.48 percent to $22.90.

Facebook (FB): More than 12,000 October 19 puts were bought for $0.10 to $0.15 as investors look for the social-networking stock to decline. FB falls 0.49 percent to $22.16.
