Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Morgan Stanley (MS): An even 36,000 January 19 calls were bought, mostly for $0.67, as investors look for upside in the shares. MS rose 4.78 percent to $13.82.

Bank of America (BAC): More than 70,000 January 10 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.29, but volume was below open interest in the strike. BAC rose 4.25 percent to $7.12.

Citigroup (C): A block of 18,500 September 35 calls were bought for $0.42 as investors position for the stock to climb. C rose 4.69 percent to $27.48.

Seagate Technology (STX): More than 13,000 June 25 puts were bought for $0.95 to $1.10 against open interest of 8,096 contracts as investors look for the shares to push lower. STX fell 5.17 percent to $26.41.

Express Scripts (ESRX): A block of 4,000 June 42.50 puts was bought for $0.09, but volume was below open interest in the strike. ESRX rose 2.51 percent to $53.11.
